IT Essentials

The IT Essentials Programme is open to all SPS and MSP staff, regardless of experience, as there are many new features and shortcuts which are now available in the software. Full information about the programme is in the Programme Overview document (opens as PDF, 145 KB).

Previous participants in the programme have provided lots of positive feedback. Comments include:

“Cath (the facilitator) asked first what we would find beneficial.”

“Everything was incredibly useful and helpful!”

“Short, simple, practical and live demo.”

“Some things I already knew, but surprisingly a lot I didn’t.”

The programme covers all the main software packages used in the Scottish Parliament and more including OneNote and maximising the use of Surface Pros. There will be workshops, an online ‘ask the expert forum’ and the popular knowledge into practice sessions where delegates can focus on how they apply their learning in the workplace.

The programme starts in March 2019 and the dates are shown below.

If you or other members of your team are interested in taking part, please email splearning@parliament.scot  with a note of the date, time and workshop(s) you would like to attend, as soon as possible, as there are limited places available.

If you have any questions about this programme, please contact splearning@parliament.scot or jess.dall@parliament.scot  (or call Jess on 86624) directly.
